What is veedo?
One place for your Second Life store: a website, in-world vendors, delivery and the numbers behind it.
3 min read
veedo runs the parts of a Second Life store that usually live in five different tools. You get a store website you design yourself, vendors that take L$ in-world, a delivery server that hands out what people buy, and a dashboard that shows every sale, customer and redelivery in one place.
How a sale works
- 1A shopper finds you on your veedo website, or walks up to one of your vendors in-world.
- 2On the website, every buy button teleports them to your store. Buying always happens in-world, with L$.
- 3They pay your vendor. veedo records the sale the moment it happens.
- 4Your delivery server sends the item straight to their inventory, even if you're offline.
- 5The sale shows up in your dashboard, the shopper becomes a customer, and they can ask for a redelivery any time.
What you'll set up
- Your store and link. Every store gets its own address,
veedo.store/s/your-store. - A website. Pick a theme, drag sections into place and publish. No code needed.
- A delivery server. One box, rezzed on land you own or rent, holding the items you sell.
- Products. Add them by hand, or paste a Marketplace link to import them.
- Vendors. Rez the veedo vendor wherever you sell, or keep CasperVend or mdVendor and bring their sales in.
You don't have to do everything at once. Your website can be live in five minutes; the in-world pieces can wait until you're ready.
