Drag and drop: adding and arranging sections

How pages are built from sections and blocks, and how to move, copy and remove them.

5 min read

Every page is a stack of sections: a hero, a product grid, a gallery and so on. Many sections hold smaller blocks, like a heading, an image or a button. You build a page by stacking sections and filling them in.

Add a section

  1. 1Open Insert in the left panel.
  2. 2Drag a section onto the page. A line shows where it will land.
  3. 3Let go, then click the new section to edit it in Design.

Prefer clicking? Select a section on the page, then click an item in Insert to add it right below.

Move things around

  • Drag a section by its handle to a new spot, or drag rows in Layers.
  • Inside Stack sections you can drag blocks between columns.
  • Hold Alt and press the up or down arrow to move the selected section one place.

Edit text and images

Click text on the page to change it in place. Click an image to replace, crop or adjust it. Everything else lives in the Design panel for the selected item.
